Julia Narveson (sometimes called Minnie Heart) is an illustrator and musician who draws, paints and prints posters, album jackets, illustrations, logos, little books, calendars, cards, packaging, and all sorts of nonsense.  As someone immersed in the music world, a lot of her work has to do with music in one way or another.

 

Her style often draws inspiration from commercial & popular art of the early 20th century - ads, sheet music covers, signs on buildings, comics, games, matchbooks, catalogues, etc.  Hand lettering is one of her favourite things.  

 

The above photo shows her dressed as a robot, holding her banjo mandolin, on a train.
